Online batch GIF resizer
This tool accepts up to 10 GIFs per batch, with a maximum of 50 MB per file, and resizes every animation frame in sequence. Keep the original size, scale to 75%, 50%, or 25%, or enter a custom width or height. When only one custom dimension is entered, the other is calculated from the original aspect ratio; entering both forces the specified dimensions. Processing runs locally in the browser, the original GIF is not overwritten, and results can be previewed, downloaded individually, or packaged together.
The tool processes every frame of the animated GIF and creates a new GIF file. Resizing runs locally in the browser, and the original GIF is not overwritten.
How to resize GIF files
1. Upload GIF files: Select one or more files in the upload area, or drag multiple animated GIFs onto the page. Each GIF can be up to 50 MB, with up to 10 GIFs per batch.
2. Choose the output size: Proportional scaling keeps the original GIF aspect ratio. With custom width or height, entering one value calculates the other automatically; entering both values forces the specified dimensions.
3. Start processing: Click Resize all to process the batch, or process the current GIF separately in the image list. The tool resizes the animation frame by frame and shows progress.
4. Download GIF files: Check the output dimensions and animation preview for each GIF. Download a single result or package all resized GIFs together.
Use cases
Use it to shrink large GIFs for faster web loading, chat sharing, avatars, article images, product pages, and mobile layouts. It can also adapt GIFs to specified banner, card, or social platform dimensions.
Tool advantages
- Choose proportional scaling, custom proportional width or height, or forced custom dimensions.
- Process every GIF frame consistently to preserve animation continuity.
- Review processing progress, output dimensions, and previews.
- No software installation is required; open the tool in a browser and use it.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Will proportional resizing distort the GIF? A: The proportional option calculates dimensions from the original aspect ratio and does not stretch the image.
Q: Will entering only one dimension distort the GIF? A: No. The tool calculates the other dimension from each GIF’s original aspect ratio. Entering both width and height uses those exact values, so the GIF may stretch if the ratio differs from the original.
Q: Will the file always become smaller after resizing? A: Smaller dimensions usually reduce the file size, but the actual result also depends on frame count, color count, and the original encoding.
