Scope of this policy
This privacy policy applies to the Mac Image website, online image tools, related pages, and services provided through macimage.com. It explains how we handle technical information generated when you visit and image files that you actively choose, drop, paste, or add to a tool.
Input formats, processing methods, and result handling may differ between tools. Read the notice on the individual tool page before using it. If a tool provides a specific file-handling notice, that notice applies to that feature.
How image files are handled
Tools that support local processing read images in your browser and on your current device to perform compression, conversion, resizing, or other operations. Original images and results normally remain in the current browser session or the location where you download them; opening a tool does not automatically make the website store those images.
Some features may need browser scripts or third-party decoding resources. Check the processing notice in the upload area and select only files that you are authorized to process. For images containing personal information, client material, or unpublished content, confirm the applicable authorization and security requirements before use.
Batch processing and folder selection
Some compression, conversion, GIF, and other tools let you select multiple images or, when supported by the browser, an entire folder at once. Batch processing usually uses memory on the current device, so larger file counts and resolutions require more browser memory. For stability, process large jobs in smaller batches and clear the list after downloading results.
Technical information needed to run the website
To deliver pages, troubleshoot errors, and maintain service stability, the server or infrastructure may receive necessary technical information such as request time, path, browser type, device environment, network address, and basic error records. This information is mainly used for security, troubleshooting, performance improvement, and checking whether pages work correctly.
We do not use this technical information to read images on your device that you have not selected for a tool. We do not use technical information for purposes unrelated to the website service unless required by law, needed for security, or necessary to provide a feature you requested.
Cookies and browser storage
The website may use necessary cookies to maintain basic sessions, security mechanisms, or page state. Image tools do not use cookies to read image contents. Mac Image may also use browser localStorage for language prompts, tool settings, or anonymous usage state. This data stays in your browser and is not the same as uploading an image.
For a fuller explanation of cookie types, browser storage, management options, and third-party resources, please read our Cookie policy
Third-party services and external links
Pages may load fonts, icons, scripts, or other necessary public resources and may link to other websites. Resource providers and external websites may handle request information or set cookies under their own policies, and they are not fully controlled by this privacy policy. Review their privacy and cookie notices before visiting them.
Retention and security
Mac Image normally does not retain locally processed originals or results for the long term; files downloaded to your device are managed by you. Necessary technical, error, or security records may be kept for the period needed for operation, troubleshooting, and compliance, and then deleted, aggregated, or de-identified when appropriate.
We take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, but no online service or local device can guarantee absolute security. Keep important originals and choose a processing environment that meets your organization requirements for sensitive images.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can choose not to add images to a tool, and you can delete downloaded files, cookies, site data, or localStorage in your browser. Disabling necessary cookies or clearing browser storage may reset language prompts, tool settings, or page state, but it normally does not prevent you from reopening public tools.
If you want to understand the data handling of a feature, submit a privacy request, or report a security concern, contact us by email below. We may need to verify the request to protect users and website security.
Children and minors
Mac Image is not designed specifically for children. Minors should use image tools with guidance from a parent, guardian, or responsible adult and should ensure that selected images do not violate another person’s privacy or rights.
Policy updates
We may update this privacy policy as features, technical practices, or applicable laws change. Updated content will be published on this page and, when appropriate, highlighted by a page notice. If you do not agree with an update, stop using the relevant features.
